Thursday, November 18th, 2010

B+B Weymouth has appointed Emma Carter as General Manager who joined on 8th November 2010 from Moonfleet Manor Hotel. The appointment complements a raft of new initiatives that have been announced in 2010. B+B Weymouth has recently become the main accommodation provider in a partnership with Ramblers Countrywide Holidays which has created a new Jurassic Coast walking holiday for its 2011 brochure.

“This is a fantastic time for Weymouth & Portland with the London 2012 Games on the horizon and I am very excited to be taking the helm at the B+B Weymouth. We have created a wealth of interesting leisure and corporate packages with local businesses to attract more visitors from outside the area which will demonstrate the range of activities available here and also showcase Dorset,” said Emma Carter.

The B+B Collection was conceived after the success of the award-winning pilot project, B+B Belgravia, which opened in London in 2004. B+B Weymouth followed in July 2008 and The Apartments@82 open in March 2010.

The B+B Collection was established in 2005 and is owned and operated by three shareholder partners: Penny Brown, Sue Bertram and Kate Green. There are currently two operational sites within the portfolio: B+B Belgravia & The Apartments@82 and B+B Weymouth. More suitable sites are being sought.

The primary objective is to deliver a modern, well-designed product that “breaks the mould,” and provides an innovative and stylish alternative to the outdated bed and breakfasts and a viable and affordable option to the predictable 4* chain hotel. Design, service, quality and comfort are all part of the philosophy.
