B+B BELGRAVIA ANNOUNCE LONG AWAITED EXPANSION PLANS

Monday, April 5th, 2010

PRESS RELEASE – 25th November 2009
B+B Belgravia announces expansion plansThe award winning B+B Belgravia Ltd has announced its plans to add 8 small apartments and a Garden Suite to their existing 4* boutique premises in Ebury Street.

Since it opened in 2004 the concept has been so successful that additional space was acquired at 82 Ebury Street, and with the support of The Grosvenor Estate a full refurbishment program commenced earlier this year. The interiors at #82 will be similar to that of the original B+B, but the rooms will benefit from the addition of a compact kitchenette containing fridge, microwave, kettle, cutlery, crockery and some basic supplies. Breakfast will be included in the form of a breakfast box which will be prepared and placed in the fridge. Breakfast boxes will be available to pre-order as part of the booking process.

This is in contrast to the full English available in the original B+B. “We were keen to offer our customers a choice between the existing product, which provides plenty of opportunity to interact with other guests, and a quieter more discreet  option” says Penny Brown, Managing Director. The only public space will be a sun terrace at the rear of the building for guests to enjoy in the warmer months!

The bedrooms will be equipped similarly to the B+B with free Wi-Fi, 12-channel TV, direct dial phones including free local calls. All those little extras will also be available such as irons & boards, alarm clocks, adaptors, laptop leads and hairdryers.

This expansion enables B+B Belgravia to offer their clientele a more comprehensive choice: either the original B+B with its pleasant guest lounge, airy breakfast room and secluded rear garden or B+B @ #82 – a private self contained London pied-a-terre. Rates for the new rooms will start from £120 per room per night inclusive.

One of B+B’s regular corporate customers has already made a group booking for International Petroleum week in February 2010: “You have really caught on to what is required in London with regard to accommodation; this is a fantastic idea to go the self-catering route! It is what people really want now if they are staying in the same place for longer than one or two nights.  Well done to introduce this into your already fantastic B&B…..  wonderful!” Patsy Shannon, Director – Mocoh S.A., Switzerland.

Apartments @ #82 will open in January 2010.

AWARD WINNING B+B TEAM ANNOUNCE B+B Weymouth OPENS FOR THE SUMMER

Monday, April 5th, 2010

PRESS RELEASE – 24th June 2008
thumbThe B+B Collection is opening a second property on the seafront in Weymouth, Dorset, as part of the company’s expansion plans to open at key tourism locations in the UK.

Due to open in July 11th 2008, the B+B Weymouth will follow the award winning concept of B+B Belgravia which has been awarded Gold for the best B&B concept two year in a row at the Visit London Awards. Weymouth is one of the UK’s historic seaside towns, and known to be where King George III spent his summers. It also played a key role in the D-Day invasions, and the whole area is one of great historic castles and houses.

Maintaining much of the original grade II listed building, the interior has been transformed into a contemporary but sympathetic design that is the signature of the award winning B+B boutique concept. In addition to the 26 en suite bedrooms, the B+B includes a light and airy guest lounge with sea views, a large breakfast room with breakfast cooked to order, complimentary tea selection and fresh coffee 24 hours a day, Wi-Fi Internet access everywhere, daily newspapers and a library of books and DVDs. The bedrooms have free-view TV, guests can make local calls free of charge from their room and the technically-able can enjoy the latest Teleadapt media hub technology.

“We had been looking for a property by the sea for a few years; when London won the 2012 Olympic Games and it was announced that Weymouth would host the sailing competition, it was obvious that Weymouth would become the next “hot spot” on the south coast.

“The B+B Collection is the brainchild of a group of like-minded professional hoteliers who have rewritten the rules for a new style of Bed and Breakfast hotels for the 21st century. We have created a new brand that offers a quality, contemporary environment at affordable rates for the discerning business traveler and the cost-conscious tourist alike. Design, service, quality, comfort and character are all part of our philosophy.“ Says Sales & Marketing Director, Sue Bertram

“This year we have seen an increase in domestic bookings compared to 2007 in our London property” adds Penny Brown, Managing Director. “People’s travel habits are changing and many are adopting a sense of responsibility to the environment by actively reducing their carbon footprint and taking holidays in the UK. The cost and hassle of delayed flights abroad versus a holiday in the UK, makes us optimistic for a busy first season in Weymouth”.
