PRESS RELEASE – 13th July 2009
B+B Weymouth celebrated its 1st birthday by throwing a champagne reception for key members of the Weymouth and Portland business and leisure community. Say’s Sales Director Sue Bertram “This is our way of saying thank you to all those people who were so welcoming when we opened our doors in Weymouth and who have given us so much support during our first year.”
B+B Weymouth had some celebrity guests staying with them too this weekend, namely Rory McGrath and Paddy McGuinness from the Channel 5 series Rory & Paddy’s Great British Adventure. Travelling the length and breadth of the country in a camper van, the mad pair continued their search for quintessentially British sporting events this weekend in Dorset; they were filming the model boat competition at the Dorset Seafood Festival which is part Weymouth and Portland’s annual Maritime Festival – Spirit of the Sea.
Dorset’s very own award-winning chef Mark Hix was also staying at the B+B Weymouth last Saturday as he was participating in Dorset’s Seafood Festival holding cooking demonstrations and judging the Young Seafood Masterchef Finals!
Throw aside the trappings of modern day working life and get back to basics with a glorious day on the Dorset coast, fishing with our local fisherman Clem.
